It has been raining continuously last week. I managed to capture one pic of my house compound but it was not flooded~ However, there's one night that I had to wear my dad's boots to shut the gate. ^^ The water level was just well below my knee. :(

Bruonz Cultural Gala Night
I am missing dancing now tho I can’t dance well. Anyway, BRUONZ CULTURAL GALA NIGHT was really successful! It was a BLAST!!! Just like the BSA nite! I did not regret participating in the performance, as well as attending those events! I really enjoyed myself!!! No more attachment! I am happy because I don’t have to wake up early in the morning but sad because I really like the staffs there! They were nice to me and it was really a good experience.
Back to Bruonz night - It was FULL HOUSE! One thing about students studying in NZ including me - WE LOVE TAKING PHOTOS! We are NOT vain! I am serious! I know I’m NOT~ Haaa..Just want to have mementos of this special occasion and I reminisce lots when I am bored. ^^ Looking at my old photos made me realise that my body size keep on increasing - HORIZONTALLY! If vertically, mana sajaaaaa….~ *lol*

2 weeks of attachment
This post is dedicated to my best friend - Ruzi!!!
I am gonna talk about my two weeks attachment in summary.
This are all what I have done across the weeks
- Briefed by the pharmacist about the hospital in Tutong and ran though the organisational chart of pharmacy.
-Reading doctors' prescriptions, picking (picked the correct medicines from the shelves), counting pills, writing labels, calling doctor, adding water to powders (what do you call that? formulation? mixing? lol), stocking up medicines and so on
- Questioned by the pharmacist about medicines like the doses
- Taught to make decision when a prescription doesn't seem right (Oh gees..I don't think I am good at this! I am indecisive!!! Also, we need to be very alert about a prescription and not sukahati dispense!)
What I have learnt:
-I always thought that pharmacy is about dispensing only but it is not the case. I also need to know stuffs like the machines used to assess the quality of drugs (e.g HPLC, UV-Spectrophotometry etc.) I hate this!!! EEE.
-Apart from that, these are the other stuffs I need to be aware of:
> Just basic acounting and a bit of mathematics (to order stock and other thing such as organise an event) Hopefuly, I get to learn all this from my experience as a treasurer this year!
>There are 6 major units in pharmacy if I am not mistaken. It also includes legal enforcement unit and any adminitrative matters related to pharmacy.
>One of the reasons I chose pharm was I thought that there's no on call so I can focus more on my family next time. I am wrong. There's on call and what's more is that working hour is really long and very busy.
> As a pharmacist, you need to be alerted at all time because doctors can write the presciption wrongly so always be aware about this matter.
> ALso, we need to be able to manage the staffs like allocating jobs to them (dispensers, attendants etc) and be oh gees...I am at loss of word to describe this! Like be able to shout, be demanding, ask them do this and that..Eeee....Later all people hate me...Gees..
>In conclusion,pharmacy is not as easy as I thought it would be :( (I always get something that I don't like!) Haaaa....
> However, I enjoyed working in that environment because time flies very fast. I don't think I will enjoy dispensing as much as picking and writing because I am not good at communication. ^^
My comment:
-Hopefully Brunei can make all labels to be computerised so we need not to write patients' names (especially those long names!!!) and date.
- Digitalise all patients' files and presciption so that we won't have to deal with untidy handwriting and everything can be accessed with a click! Remember, everything is just at your fingertip! (Kai also suggested this!)
-Computer-generated prescription also ensure that there's always a history of the patients especially the medications they have taken and those that they are taking now stored in the hospital and hence make it easier for HCPs to refer whenever there is a need to do this.
These things will increase the accuracy and rate at which the medicines are being dispensed so patients will not have to wait for long. This in turn improves the services we provide for them and this will be a win-win situation.
